App demo

Watch Kidoio in action.

A quick walkthrough of the Parent app and Kids app working together: scorecards, approvals, and the child-safe video feed.

Install the Parent app first, then pair the Kids app on your child's device.
How it works

Three steps, one quiet system.

i.
You sign up, your kids get the app
One parent account, a profile per child. Sign-in works from anywhere with a one-time code — no passwords. Kids open the app and either pick from what's already approved, or search for something new.
ii.
They ask, you approve
When a kid wants to watch something not yet on their list, the request lands in your dashboard. You see the analysis — flagged moments with timestamps, age-fit, what it teaches — and approve or skip in seconds.
iii.
You see what they're really learning
Every video they watch is scored across emotional and developmental dimensions — empathy, resilience, focus, kindness. The dashboard shows what's growing, what's missing, and what to nudge next.
Real parents

Parents trust Kidoio to keep kids' video safe — here's what they say.

From parents in our early access program.

"Kidoio caught three channels we'd been letting our daughter watch that scored badly on aggression and reward framing. We had no idea."

Sarah K.
Parent of two · Texas
"My son used to come off the iPad wired and irritable. Two weeks of Kidoio and the difference is real. He picks better stuff because he can only see better stuff."
M
Michael D.
Father of one · UK
"It feels like every other parental tool just blocks. Kidoio actually understands what content is teaching. That's the bit nobody else does."
P
Priya R.
Pediatrician & parent · Toronto
"The dashboard tells me exactly which scenes triggered which rules. I trust the recommendations because I can see the receipts."
A
Anna F.
Parent of three · Berlin
"My 5-year-old loves the voice search. She doesn't realize there's a content filter — she just thinks the app is smart."

Common questions from parents

Everything you need to know before you start.

What is Kidoio and how does it work? +

Kidoio is a science-backed kids’ video rating app. It analyses children’s video content scene by scene across 9 developmental dimensions — including empathy, aggression, cooperation, self-regulation, and cognitive engagement — and matches every video to your child’s developmental stage.

Parents get a full scorecard for any YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Vimeo, or Prime Video video. Kids get a curated, safe feed with pre-watch quizzes and stars. Both apps are free.

Is Kidoio free to use? +

Yes — completely free. No subscription, no paywall, no credit card. Early families get unlimited video analyses, the full parent dashboard, the kids app, up to 4 child profiles, and behavioural rule customisation. Get the apps free →

Which streaming platforms does Kidoio support? +

Kidoio currently supports YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Vimeo, and Amazon Prime Video. Support for additional platforms is expanding. Any public video URL can be submitted for analysis directly.

How does Kidoio rate kids’ videos? What is the scoring methodology? +

Kidoio uses AI grounded in developmental psychology to analyse video content scene by scene across 9 behavioural dimensions: empathy modelling, aggression, cooperation, self-regulation modelled, cognitive engagement, reward framing, adult voice modelled, body autonomy, and content maturity. Each dimension is scored 0–1.0 and matched against your child’s age band and your configured sensitivity settings. Read the full methodology →

Is Kidoio safe? Is it COPPA and GDPR-K compliant? +

Yes. Kidoio is fully COPPA and GDPR-K compliant. We collect no personally identifiable information from children. The kids’ app session uses an opaque token — no email, no account — so children are never profiled directly. All data is stored securely and never sold or shared with third parties. No ads. Ever.
